What is the process by which you help a student discover, begin using and improve their

God given gifts and talents? The answer is Teens Involved.

Biblical Thinking Behind Teens Involved

Scripture is clear that we are saved to serve. God, in His grace, has given each of us gifts to use in the building up of the church. Service for God is simply allowing God to work through us to minister to others. 1 Peter 4:10 tells believers to be good stewards of the gifts and abilities God has given them. In 1 Corinthians 4:1 God has entrusted to us the truth of His Word. W

e must be faithful in serving others. Since God has given every believer gifts, talents, and abilities to serve Him for His glory and for the edification of believers, therefore we need to help, lead and encourage students to develop and use them for this purpose.

Purpose of Teens Involved

To encourage and help Christian students gain experience in presenting their gifts and abilities for service in ministry to God for His honor and glory.

This is accomplish ed as leaders or coaches work with teens to prepare

a presentation from 23 possible
categories. They will make their presentations at each level where they will receive input, encouragement and a numerical score from judges. The top five entries at each level will move on to the next level.

As a leader or coach you need to make sure your teens utilize their presentations not just for Teens Involved competition but in a special Sunday service and in Christian Service activities. Teens Involved is focused on getting the student to use their gifts and abilities in ministry right now and into the future.

Teens Involved will…
• Provide you with a program to get students involved in present and future ministry.

• Build the confidence of your students as they gain experience in serving God.
• Provide you with a platform to evaluate the mentoring process that is already taking place through your ministry.
• Provide a venue to polish and fine tune the ministry skills of students already involved in ministry.
• Prepare and equip students for greater effectiveness in Christian Service projects.

• When coupled with Christian Service it provides you with a number of ways to enhance and increase your ministry involvement in your community.
