ME 101
Have students first share their answers to this question: “If your week was a class, what would it be titled?” Have them share a little of what has been going on in their week; maybe a funny story or an unexpected event and then the title of their class (i.e. – Burger King is my King 101 or Ways NOT to Break Up with your Girlfriend 101, etc). Then have students take a couple of minutes and think of how their week with Christ
has been going. Ask for some to share a class that they would like to take that would help them grow closer or develop their walk more with Christ (i.e. Quiet Time 101, Prayer 101, or How to Share your Testimony 101).
GROUP CHARADES
Break students up into groups and have them think of one of their favorite memories from this summer that the group can guess (i.e. summer camp, missions trip, etc.) and have them act it out in charades. Have the other students try to guess the memory.
BIG PIECE OF PAPER
Put a BIG piece of paper on the wall and divide it into three sections. Have students fill it out either by drawing or writing in the three sections. Have the first section be something that God taught them this summer or some way that God used them this summer. Have the second section be things they want to grow in or things they want to see God use them to do this coming year. Have the third section be a name of a student that they want to build a spiritual relationship with and what that is (i.e. Luke – Salvation, John – Accountability, Sarah – Better Influence)
